lululemon orienteering

Customer Needs

lululemon actively promotes a hot and sweaty life, and advocates participating in various activities to cheer for life with sweat. This is also the second time lululemon has cooperated with Inspire Sports. We hope that this orienteering challenge, which combines sports and intelligence, will lead to deeper communication and cooperation among the team, help members break through themselves in the competition, and at the same time, strengthen the tacit understanding and trust among each other.

Motivational Campaign Planning

Based on lululemon's needs, we designed an orienteering program that combines intellectual and physical challenges. The main task of the event is to find a punch point, supplemented by a number of side tasks that require strategy, puzzle solving and observation. Each level requires participants to work together as a team and select the right team members according to the characteristics of the task to overcome the challenge.

In keeping with lululemon's corporate culture, the partners demonstrated a proactive attitude, not only learning about the rules and scoring strategies from the level masters. In the main part of the challenge, they had to find 20 punch points in 120 minutes. Instead of going for speed, one of the teams chose to play at a steady pace, balancing the integrity of the main and side missions. Their strategy was clear, with the team leader utilizing his expertise in map reading to lead the team in planning the best route, while two sharp-eyed team members helped observe the surroundings to quickly spot hidden chokepoints. With such close cooperation, they not only completed the main mission, but also collected all nine clue cards with impressive efficiency.

During the corporate Q&A session, the partners showed how much they know about lululemon. They were very knowledgeable about the brand's history, values, and product details, and were able to accurately answer some cold data questions, much to the admiration of the event organizers. Not only that, the Q&A atmosphere was full of fun and teamwork. When someone was a little hesitant in answering a question, their teammates would immediately ease the pressure with light-hearted jokes or quickly fill in the correct answer, making the competition a perfect match.

What is most impressive is that a team that could not find the specified clue cards did not give up, but tried to negotiate with other groups to try to obtain the necessary clues in a cooperative manner. The process of negotiation was not a smooth one. They had to convince each other that they had enough reasons and reciprocity within a limited period of time. At the same time, they had other tasks to complete in order to meet the time deadline. Under such pressure, the team demonstrated excellent communication skills and teamwork to execute different strategies with a clear division of labor, and finally won the second place in the competition.

Results and Feedback

On the day of the event, the lululemon team demonstrated impressive teamwork skills. During the competition, they faced each challenge with a focused and winning attitude, but the intimacy between the team was not weakened at all. On the contrary, because of their trust in each other, they were able to communicate and divide up the work quickly, support each other and take on board their teammates' advice at important levels. Partners also mentioned that orienteering not only let them experience the fun of the sport and the intellectual challenge, but also added a sense of fun and achievement. They were especially thankful to the motivational exercise for creating new memories and values for them, fully relaxing their body and mind and at the same time, bonding the team emotionally again.
